This week started out real rough, but I think things are turning around. Monday I came down with a raging UTI. I have a problem of getting these frequently and have been investigating the root cause with a urologist. I have no structual abnormalties, but I have a bit of urinary retention. This, coupled with my diabetes makes me vulnerable to infections. So we've pretty much come to the conclusion that this is just one of those things that's part of my life. But this one came on fast and hard. Instead of just burning when I pee, the pain was constant. It felt like my bladder was on fire!
I got to the doctor's Monday afternoon and she prescribed 7 days of Cipro, but for some nutty reason my pharmacy couldn't fill the script until Tuesday. Beaurocratic goo! It's a wonder anything gets done!
But fast forward to today - the infection is pretty much gone, and my poison ivy is much better. It still itches, but it's much less now.
I'm planning to kick back and enjoy mother's day. Maybe do a little sewing on my new machine.
