7 days post op

Dennis is 7 days post op. The surgery was done in 2.25 hours laparoscopy w/hand assist. He spent 3 days on the hospital and estimates off work for 3 weeks. He is doing really well , I am off this week so we have been going to the mall or to movies and getting around a bit during the day and relaxing at night. He is managing his pain well but does not like the staples ! The doctor said he had a Cystic Clear cell grade 2 tumor which was contained in the kidney. He will have the follow up appointment with his surgeon this coming monday to review progress and get a detailed pathology report. The surgeon stated the surgery went as expected and no other treatment is needed at this time. I guess we will find out what type of follow up he will need when he see's the doctor on Monday.
