I was taking 1200 MG of Neurontin a day but still had a lot of attacks throughout the day so I went to a Neurologist and he increased the meds to 2700MG a day. At first it freaked me out. I didnt think I would be able to function but I increased it slowly and Im fine. Now I go days without any pain and when I do get an attack its a little duller and doesnt last as long.
I got a MRI on Tues. Theyre checking for MS. Right now Im just so happy . PRAISE GOD!

Hi Saha,
This is the first time I have gone to the internet to talk to others about anything. I recently spent the evening in the ER and found out I have Trigeminal Neuralgia. I was given percocet and sent home. It is a holiday weekend so I have to wait until tomorrow to talk to my doctor. I feel very confused and frightened from the things I have read on the internet about this problem. My pain has gone, in one week, from being able to control it by changing my position or standing up, to no control at all. I never know when it is going to hit ... one moment I am totally fine and the next my jaw feels like it\'s being electrocuted. I have never felt such pain in my life! My Christian faith means everything to me and that is why I was drawn to your story ~ hoping for something uplifitng from you. None of my Christian friends have heard of this problem before ... they all are praying for me ... and yet I feel like an island with no one quite grasping what is going on. Please comment soon.
Many thanks,
Dian J.
