It has been one week since my daughter abruptly left home. She has not responded to my calls or texts, which I have kept short & neutral. She has been lying to me about her activities since graduating college in May. I am angry and hurt and confused. I did not raise a liar. Until recently, she had my complete trust and we were very close. I support her need for independence but she has no $, a part-time retail job, and is staying with a friend in her parents house. She is probably lying to them about me. She has had never paid rent, paid a bill, or worked a full-time job. I have to find ways to take my mind off her and her choices. I have no idea how this situation will be resolved or when but I am now prepared to live my life as well as possible. I am going to remain positive!
