I'm Back
I'm back on here after a little break. I have been thinking about all my fellow fibro warriors, but I've been too anxious to rejoin the community. It's hard to explain-- but I am breaking past this anxiety to get some support and give some support again. It has been a rough few weeks!
I am on gabapentin, am in physical therapy, and am taking some high-quality supplements, but nothing really seems to be helping that much. I think my skin pain is a little less, but I had a huge flare up last week and it made me doubt the success of all my treatments. All of my symptoms spiked up and I felt the worst that I've felt in months. And we all know that with fibromyalgia, that is saying a lot!
I am also dealing with seriously low thyroid hormones (I have hypothyroidism, but everything just suddenly got really bad with that these last few months). I wonder if the hypothyroidism flaring up is related to my fibro? Hmm...
Life is crazy, but I don't want to throw a pity party. Some good things have been happening in the midst of the craziness. To name a few, I was able to go on a little trip to Pittsburgh, have become much closer with my sister than I have been in years, and am continuing to build upon my network of friends and community here in my hometown.
This journey is tough, but I'm a warrior.
