Dealing with an stbx is frustrating!  He and I do counseling right now and he had the gall tonight to say he wants "credit" for us being in counseling.  He acts like it was this generous act of him to halt the divorce proceedings and suggest counseling.  Idiot.  I had to remind him tonight that he is the one who put us in the divorce proceedings to begin with!  I agreed to talk to him but ONLY if we did it with a counselor.  Frankly, he's lucky I'm even willing to do this!!!  I've done my own counseling this past year and am so much stronger and in such a better place, I have serious doubts he could step up and be the person I need him to be if we were to try to reconcile.  I was actually okay with signing the divorce paperwork and moving on.  He needs to get over himself.
