On Wednesday (4-8-15) we again went to UC Irvine for chemo treatment again, but my husbands white blood cell count was too low for the treatment.  I took vacation days because I’ve been taking too much “personal” time off and felt I’d better take the time off officially.
So with no chemo, I had to cancel the house sitter, let the neighbor know we are coming back (I asked her to keep an eye on the house), cancel the hotel, and reschedule everything.  I took advantage of getting my hair done.  I have a wonder hair dresser, but this time she really made me blonde.  I don’t like it at all.  The blonder it is the more you can see the scalp and the natural hair thinning.  I am a natural blonde in my younger days, getting gray too fast and with the extreme blonde now its iffy if its blonde or gray.  $140 and 4 hours down the drain.
The cancer in my husband’s belly is really growing.  Its about the size of a baseball now.  I don’t think the treatment is working and now they can’t even treat it.  We have to go back next week to see if the white blood cell count is up.  With his kidneys failing too, the meds they give him have to be gentle.  This cancer (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma) has a good success rate of remission, but he has diabetes, kidney failure, heart issues, gout, and low blood pressure.  If any of you compared the diabetes diet and the kidney diet you’d laugh.  example, one diet said eat only whole wheat, other said no whole wheat only white.  funny actually.
