It was a terrible mistake.  Will I ever forgive myself for being so easy for  him.  I feel like a fool and it meant absolutely nothing to him.

He told me he loves her, that he made a committment to her.  That she loves him, that she is kind and giving and that they have so much in common.  And he won't hurt her and he won't cheat on her.  That he is a one woman man.  always was like that.  He made his new found relationship sound normal and he totally forgot what he did to me, to us, to this marriage.  He only knows one thing:  I divorced him!  He would have never divorced me, he would have just stuck it out and tortured me.  And truly when he was here, I didn't want him around anymore.  Couldn't stand it.  But I didn't want him to find happiness with anyone else.

I don't really believe he loves her.  He is just capable of that feeling but I do believe he throws the word out there alot.  He loved Betty,  He loved me, and now he loves her.  I believe Diane is a convient.  I believe she is all that is left to end his life with.  And he just as to prove to the world that he has someone.  I think in his old age, he will be dependent on her.  Because he needs her.  And because he does, he will be different with her.  He will give her what he never gave to Betty or me.  He will mellow out.  And I don't really want that to be the case.  I want him to be exactly who he was with me....to Betty....to her.  Not that I want her to suffer, but I want to have more proof that he is who he is.
