My Mom's "funeral" was yesterday - everything went well. We went to dinner - just the immediate family. She will be cremated and we will have a service at another time or just share her ashes and do what we think she and my Dad wanted. I have not smoked through all of this nor have I had the desire to. Mom was so proud that I stopped smoking. She alway said to me: "your going to stop, you'll see. I know you will stop smoking, I did it and so can you". She had no doubt in her mind that I was going to stop and stay stopped, One Day At a Time.I feel a great sense of relief for myself and for her on her passing away. I call it the "waves", grief is like the ocean, crying, laughing, calm and rough. Lots of feelings going on.Thank you dear friends at DS for all your good wishes and support. DSt has gotten me though so much in my my life.ok for now!Ree
