Sunday was a huge success. Your celebration of life was well attended with friends, family and work colleagues. The casual atmosphere made everyone feel comfortable and it was totally humorous to see so many people in sweat pants and house slippers in one place. The girls wore Birkenstocks and socks in your honor. After reading your eulogy I changed into my yoga pants and , " shut up and drink your beer sweat shirt, " and my ugg boots that are nothing less that, "yummy, " to wear.
The food was amazing and the micro beers delicious as ever and the numerous kids at the party were totally flying high on soda pop, cookies and pastries. Your Mother and I sat and talked. She appreciated my desire to live a full and complete life and gave her approval on the man that I am dating. Kim, Scott, Abe and I helped at least a dozen children launch the flying paper lanterns. Despite the constant soft drizzle the lanterns flew to great heights and lit up the gray skies of November.
It is my greatest hope that you were pleased with our efforts and understand my need for closure. You as my husband know that you despite my need to move on with my life, that I will always carry you deep within me. You will continue to complete me and you will be the one to carry me home. For now sweet Michael I will say good night and continue to nurture the life that folds before me. I love you. Forever and ever and ever……….
