The house will be busy this weekend getting ready for your celebration of life. It seems unbelievable that more than six months have gone by sense you passed.   The seasons have told your story, our story. You passed in the spring just shortly after we planted the jasmine and lavender in the small patch of land that we called our , “English garden.”    The jasmine now climbs gracefully up the arbor that you has so patiently built and the lavender is now starting to rest for fall .  In addition pumpkins and a scarecrow now occupy the front porch and multicolored pots of mums have taken the place of the daisies and primroses that were presented to your family in remembrance of you.
The children, our children, are doing amazing. Our two brides to be are now married women who have found a sense of grace and quiet which is an end result of their need to honor your memory by maturing into the women you had predicted them to become. Our son continues to shine in his role as a husband, devoted son, and man of great faith and integrity. Your Mother who mourned her baby boy, now honors the memory of her middle aged son by living her life fully and complexly as we all have chosen to do.  As for me, your wife, I am leaning to trust my instincts and have found  value in my new state of independence and role as head of our household. At times I still weep and whisper your name in my sleep.   For the most part, however, I am doing well. I continue to nurture a new relationship, try new things, and learn from the lessons that you so patiently taught.  Sunday will be the day that we have chosen to openly celebrate the amazing life in which you lived.   It seems unbelievable that more than six months have gone by sense you passed. It also seems unbelievable how we with God’s grace continue to heal.
I love you
