The house is bursting with activity. Friends coming in and out and of course what seems like an endless array of contractors. The renovations are more than half completed with us all scrambling to get the house finished before the wedding reception on the 28th.
Danner and Leanored are driving up Friday along with his little niece. I am putting them in the trailer for the four days they will be here. Carol was injured chasing a horse on his ATV. It looks like he has broken ribs and in having difficulty walking. I need to finish the cleaning and get some real food in the house. It will be so nice to have the kids home and us all together for an extended weekend.   I am having a dinner party for eight people and realized that we have only two wine glasses and one lop sided cork screw. We were totally the pizza and beer entertainers.
Danner has asked for a picture of you to place on the memorial table along with Leanored’s father. When I did the same for Brianna’s wedding I found the task of preparing the picture very difficult. Two months later, though still difficult it is much easier and more sweet than bitter. The girls and I are going to dance to, “I want you to want me,” just as we all did together when taking long car trips.   There will be touches of you everywhere. Your work boots will be filled with sunflowers and sit in a place of honor by the front door, and stories of your kindness and sense of family will be shared by all those who loved you.
Life you see sweet dear husband continues to go on. The flowers that we planted the week before your passing have matured beautifully and the scent  of jasmine feels the yard when the wind blows in the perfect direction. The wind chimes continue to sing, the creek continues to flow and we your family continue to heal. What has not changed is the love that we feel and forever will feel for you.   We are your story tellers and through us your legacy will live on.
I love you
