I've gotten some bad news today. Looks like I will lose my license for 6 months. The thing is, there is no absolute proof that it was a seizure that occurred at the time of the accident. EEG's are used to detect seizure activity. That test was not done. I've tried to talk to my doctor. It makes me angry that they don't listen to me. I feel they don't care. I may lose my job because of this. It will be hard to find people to bring me to work for 6 months. Good news is, one month is already done. I have to be seizure-free for 6 months from the time of the accident. I made one month so far. More good news. My car insurance has settled. They will pay off the car and I will come out ahead, getting more money than I invested in the car. Well, I guess while I'm waiting to be able to drive again, I can just keep on working and saving my money. It is still going to be quite a task to get through these months until I can drive again. Well, it could always be worse.

sorry to hear that you have to wait five more month,, but like you said one month is down.. and it is really good that your insurance settled.. do you have any friend that live close to work?? If so maybe you can stay there for one or two night a week.... You are right that it could have been ALOT worse...

Thanks, Kyle. The lady I work with did make an offer to me tonight. She invited me to stay with her for maybe a week now and then. That way, we could ride to work together. But I just thought of one problem. I clean a couple of houses during the week. But I could work my schedule around that. And I would have to bring my dog with me, which would not be a problem. She has a dog also. But he\'s also male. But that too, can be handled.
Hi, I am not sure what your city is like, but have you looked into bus schedules? I do have the ability to drive and a car, but I take the bus by choice and love it. I save money, get exercise by walking and biking to and from the bus stops, and get to read. If it is accessible, I\'d look into this option - you might be surprised!
My home town is too small for public transportation. Not even taxi service. Not a lot of friends or family who can help me either. I have a few friends who I can check out and see about rides.
Is it possible for you to bike? If it is that small of a town, perhaps things are accessible that way?
It would be for my first job. But then from there, I have to travel out of town 15 miles for the next 2 locations.
