I finally got the courage to call Legal Aide. I told Matt Monday night that I still want a divorce. He started his "poor me" crap once again. Said I was using him. I don't see how, as I'd been supporting him for the past 2 years. He said he would contact the mortgage company and have the sheriff post a sign on the house, making me move out. Legal aide services will be in my area on August 14. That's 1 whole day shy of being exactly 6 months that we have been separated. Is that a God thing or what?!? I hope they can help me. I can't afford a divorce and I'm sure he's not going to help me pay for it in any way. He says we don't have any problems. I told him all the problems; verbal abuse, making fun of me and my recovery from alcohol. The constant threats of hurting my family. He also threatened to bring law suits on various people in town here. Don't know why. His reasoning is because so many people have kept him from finding jobs and destroyed his reputation. He did all that on his own. He didn't need any help. He isolated himself from people. He counted on the computer to find him a job, then used the car's transmission problems as an excuse as to why he couldn't go out of town to work. One excuse after another. Sounded like me and my alcoholism. I'll be so happy to be rid of him once and for all.
