Happy New Year2008I don't even know where to begin with all that's transpired since my last journal entry.  I am alive, and I'm well.  I guess I'll just give the basics for now as to what's been going on in my life.  Don't want to write a novel, and bore anyone that's reading this to death.Dave and I have merged homes.  I'm in the process of finishing the move.  New Year, new beginnings.  Life is wonderful.  Sure, lots of stresses, with moving, getting through the holidays, etc., but all in all, I'm in such a good place.  I've been reflecting on the last year of my life, and all the many changes that have taken place.  What a journey.  If you all have been following/reading my journals, since the inception of my being on DS, you know where I'm coming from.  It's amazing to me to see that the cloud that was lingering over my head has dissapated.  Never in a million years did I ever expect to be where I'm at right now.  I guess it's just like people who don't play the lottery - and never win....You never know until you try.  Open your eyes and you just might see things in a different perspective.I sit here and reflect on the last year of my life and sit in amazement as to what's transpired.  I was in such a dark and bad place during the first half of the year.  I was going through the motions, trying to be the best I could be for my children, and my career.  I was existing.  It was as if I had blinders on, and on a "gerbil wheel" just  running and getting nowhere.  Sure, I was doing it, but there was a void there.  I was willing to accept that void, and just keep plugging away.  There was no time in my life - and felt that I couldn't juggle a relationship in the already hectic life I had.  I figured my time would come when the kids were older and then have an opportunity to "do" for me.  Then came along Dave.....All I can say is that I've honestly never felt so good about life, and happy with someone ever in my life.  I was reading my friend Storm's journal, and read some words of wisdom from our mutual friend Jana, in which she stated when you find your soulmate you will know....and boy is she right.  I have found that person.  Life has such a new meaning.  There's a bounce in my step, a new reason to exist.....not that I didn't have a reason before, I had plenty - but this is something so special.  This is someone who I can share my life with.  I look forward to spending forever with this wonderful man.   It's so unfortunate that forever isn't long enough.  I wish we had longer, but I'm greatful for having him come into my life than to never have experienced what I am now.  I won't ramble on an on....all I basically want to say is that to those of you out there who have grown to become pessimistic, don't give up, and don't lose faith.  Your time will come - that I can attest to.  And to those of you who have found that special person - cherish your time and don't take it/them for granted.  Life is too short - Enjoy the ride.
