Well another great day :)  D picked me up tonight at 7 after the kids left with their Dad and he brought me  a gift (Bath & Body Works gift set) and some beautiful flowers.  I was shocked to say the least (it's my birthday today officially it is after midnight).    We then headed out to dinner.   Dinner was yummy, conversation was great, just a really good evening.   The table next to us had a birthday and the staff was singing and I looked at him with the "I'll kick your ass - don't even think about it look" and he laughed and said no I won't do that to you hehe   We left and headed to the local watering hole and had a beer and chatted - people came up to us - I knew a couple of them - acquaintences - and I have to say basically the general consensus was "well it's about time".  Funny how everyone else can see the writing on the wall when you can't.  I guess we established that we're in a "relationship" - meaning exclusive.  He was funny.  He shared with me his feelings of waiting for "the other shoe to drop".  He said he just feels very comfortable with me...enjoys spending the time that we have together.   It feels really nice to be appreciated and liked.  I told him he didn't have to do the dinner thing, etc. and he said there's a difference between wanting to do something and needing to - and that he wanted to take me out.  He said when he saw me this morning (at the drugstore - I spotted him in the card section hehe) and I told him that my ex was taking the kids he was estatic to have the opportunity to go out with me - because he leaves at 6 a.m. (today officially) to go for the weekend Boy Scout outing - and didn't know how he was going to be manuvere seeing me before he left - because of the kids, etc.   He's such a sweet and caring person - and I'm waiting for the bomb to drop....Too good to be true.  He told me his friends really like me alot.  They were impressed to see me handle my own - making the rounds, talking with people, etc.  Told him that I was a keeper and to hang on tight to me LOLSomebody pinch me ok!  Seriously, I feel such a natural high.  He said he feels the same way - he has the bounce in his step and that he feels really happy/good.  Ugh - it's so scary.   I feel better that he feels the same way too....he's unsure...meaning what about if next week I have a change of heart, etc.  I told him I understood completely.  I'm going to miss him this weekend.   He asked me what I was doing Monday morning - because he had a clean out (give an estimate)...an estate - and they're going to be listing the house.  So - I'm going out there with him on Monday morning - and if it rains -he'll be done for the day - and would love to spend it with me.    Pray for rain! LOL  I will make sure my schedule stays clear.  Actually, after I'm done writing in my journal I will check the weather out hehe.It was hard to let him go -he didn't want to leave either - but we must be responsible adults.  he has a 15 year old son that's with him on a permanent basis now - his other 2 live with mom.....so he turns into a pumpkin.  But that's ok.  He's actually going to see if he can plan a sleepover for his son so that we can go away for a weekend to the beach or something.....*sighs*  Did I say pinch me already? hehe   It feels good to be smitten and look forward to things.  I know I must sound like a broken record - and obnoxious - but it's been a very long time where I felt comfortable and happy.   It's so foreign - yet exciting.Ok...this girl needs to get some sleep....I just had to write tonight - it's late and everyone's asleep - and I feel like I needed to express the good feeling that I'm feeling.  Thanks for stopping by.  xoxoP.S.  Pray for rain on Monday LOL ;)
