Well, had a good day today. *smiles* Feels good to feel good! Had work in the morning, finished up around 11:30 and then ran to my daughter's school. It was field day today - and I forgot to pack her sunscreen - so I ran up to the school and she was having lunch when I got there. She was so happy to see me and I was happy to see her in her environment. So I sat with her for lunch and then slathered on the sunscreen. She headed out for field day after lunch lunch was done. So I headed home and D called me and asked how my day was going. He had just finished up his day and was heading home and wanted to know if I wanted to go for a walk. (Told him that I try to sneak walks in before the kids get home from school) So I said sure - and walked over to his place. He greeted me with a peck on the lips and a smile (he has a nice smile :) )...and we headed out. We walked about 3 miles! I usually walk about a mile and a half when i do go for a walk - down to the bridge and back hehe But we walked all over the place and talked about everything. It was so nice. There's no lull in the conversation at all. No awkward moments. It's weird. We talked about our kids - and he told me he spoke with his son (who lives with him) and asked if he felt uncomfortable with me over for dinner and he son said he was fine with it. *Phew* LOL Not only do you have to figure out someone in a new relationship - but now you have to gain acceptance of children. This whole dating with kids thing is still so weird. Baby steps!!! I'm not so worried with his 2 sons, honestly it's his daughter. She's 17 and daddy's little girl. Havent' met her yet. Just a wave from a distance a few months ago. We shall see I guess. So we walked down the street that brings us to our street (yes we live on the same street hehe) and we gave each other a kiss - and said we'd talk tomorrow. I so enjoyed going out with him - just a simple walk - but it felt good to be out with someone - and talking and sharing and laughing....it just felt really good. My ex called me today and asked if he could take the kids Friday night instead of Sat. afternoon. I said sure no problem. I encourage it. He only sees them for one day a week. He said he wanted to take them for a couple of weeks this summer and I said sure. They miss their dad. Although my son is starting to get to the age where he wants to hang out with his friends on the weekends - and his dad lives about 40 minutes away now. So many changes going on. It's like I'm starting another new chapter in the book of life. Wonder how this one will turn out.
