Happy Friday all.  Well, I've been busy to say the least.  Felt very productive this week - and my house is showing it! :)  I have to say I feel better about my surroundings!  Which is a good thing!Anyways, tomorrow's my daughter's birthday - but we're celebrating it today.   She's going with her Dad tomorrow for the weekend (in the a.m.) so we're having cake tonight.   Asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner - and you guessed it PIZZA!  Sooooooo, ordering pizza, and we'll have the starndard junk fare that goes with it.  I baked a cake last night and will decorate it today.  Getting balloons and streamers and all that good jazz and decking the place out!  My baby's turning 6!  Man, I can remember coming into the world - seems like yesterday.  They grow like weeds I tell ya!  Funny how we want them to hurry up and grow - yet we wish they could stay little forever! Kids leave tomorrow around 11 a.m. and then I have time for ME til Monday at 7 p.m. when I pick them up.  Getting nervous about the date.   We're going out tomorrow for a bite and then Sunday's the picnic.  I need to call him and ask him what time tomorrow night.  I'm getting the butterflies.  I know, weird.  I mean I've known him for a couple years - so I really have nothing to be nervous about - BUT I can never make things simple for myself LOL  I'm trying to have no expectations - but my "giddiness" (Thanks Dee! LOL) has gotten the best of me.  I guess it's just the fact that it's a "date" "social function" that has me stressing out.  Wonder if he's feeling it too?!?!? Showed my g/f my suit - she made me model it LOL.  This is not something typical I would buy for myself - the style of it.  Usually, I would buy a "scoop" neck.  This one is V neck - and let's say there's some cleavage going on lol....She's like WOW - that's not your typical style....She told me it looked great - just be careful of one "popping out" LOL  I have a friend (like a mom) who is in her 60's and I love her dearly.  She's a "tell it like it is" person.   And she told me once - do you realize that women pay good $$$ for those!  And that I should "embrace" them "love" them LOL  My Mom use to always make me feel ashamed of them - and that you had to be covered up at all times.  So that's the way I've been.  But, I'm learning that hey it's ok to have them - and instead of being embarrassed by them - that I need to get over it.  There's no way around it - I have boobs! LOL  So I'm accepting my body more and as my friend has said i need to love myself - and all my "flaws".  I think as we grow older - we get more comfortable in our skin - or we just say screw it and don't care LOL I loved reading Cougar's response to my journal yesterday regarding other cultures - and how they all wear bikini's.  It does stink that society has made us so insecure with ourselves.  That if we're not a size 2 - we're fat!  And the young kids are picking up on it too.  I try to teach my kids that we need to love our bodies and ourselves - flaws and all - it makes us who we are - and that's not a bad thing. Anyways, happy Friday - and hope everyone enjoys the sunshine! xoxo
