Just Pondering
You know - since I've been on DS, I've learned SO much about people - and what they're going through in their lives. It's like I've gained so much knowledge and "broadened my horizons" in my way of thinking - and viewpoints of alot of things. It's really opened my eyes.
For me DS has opened my eyes - from the viewpoints of other friends - and maybe just a "passerby" on a journal entry or a hug. We all struggle with so much in our daily lives - some more than others - yet we struggle. I've learned that money doesn't buy you happiness. Always thought it did - but bottom line - it doesn't. Might have security - but it doesn't take away the other parts in your life that you're suffering in. Happiness is something you earn. I use to take being happy for granted - never will I again.
I've learned that life is WAY too short. There are days where it's a wonder how you get through it....but you do. Everyday brings new challenges...new obstacles.
I still see the whirlwind in my life - but I feel the dust settling a little bit here and there. Well..Rome wasn't built in a day - so I guess I need to add patience on the list of things to try and be better at.
I'm going to list things that I need to get done - try to anyways. Hopefully/Maybe I can use this as a motivater for me. I can write a list on a piece of paper - but I've done that - and I don't follow through always! So....maybe if I post them here - I'll be forced to see them - because I'm checking in on my journal - and it will be a reminder - and hopefully motivator!
1. Laundry (on my 2nd load)
2. Make a couple follow up calls - send out TY cards to the people that attended the open house.
3. Run to Wally-World and grab basic food/stuff that we need.
4. Check my mail (so simple - yet I have the hardest time facing it - don't ask me why)
5. Organize closets/drawers - try to start it anyways. Switch out summer/winter clothes for all of us.
Ok we'll see how that goes! Anyways....I'm off - need to write up my thank you cards :)
xoxo

I saw a documentary once on \'The Book of Job\"
A panel of theological academics were on giving their opinions
A Rabbi told a story, he said [somthing to the effect] a man was talking to God and he asked God there are so many things that are terrible in this world wars, injustice, famine, natural disasters why don\'t you do something about it and God said I did, I sent you
I have never forgotten this little story I heard many years ago

He he...not only do you have to look at this as a reminder to DO these things, you now have to put up with us harassing you!
