Soon
I'm not sure if I'll be able to write a journal entry before my departure, so I figured while I have the opportunity to I will.
Ok, I'm so anxious and nervous. I've been dealing with anxiety off and on all day today. Just the reality of taking this trip. I'm doing this solo - no one going for the drive. Map Quest says 3 hours, but I'm counting on 4 hours. Long drive for a country mouse! I feel like a child starting their first day of school and looking back and letting go of the familiarity/comfort of the nest. I'm really looking forward to it, no question there. Just this is not my typical MO. But, sometimes you have to take that leap - because if you don't - there will always be the what if's - and as my girl JaneDoe has said to me many times before - you can't let fear rule you - and she's right. As much as it makes sense, it still scares the crap out of me!
I'm feeling so much. I'm thinking of my kids, work, etc. I'm going to miss my kids. I feel guilty for leaving them behind during the school week - but I know they'll be in good hands - and I think they could use a break from Mom too for a couple days.
I also want to say that I thank all of you for your well wishes and warm thoughts to me. It really means so much to know that people out there care - y'all are a bunch of great people - and I'm so fortunate to know each and every one of you.
If I don't have the opportunity to enter another journal entry prior to my departure - I want to let you know that I'll be thinking of you - and look forward to catching up with you all Weds night/Thursday.
Peace!
SK :)
