Time
Well roughly 72 hours and counting. Feeling all sorts of emotions about the trip. I'm really looking forward to it - but I'm so anxious, and as each hour goes by - my anxiousness increases. But it's a good anxious - which is a welcome change. The butterflies are definitely having a field day with me! LOL It's been a while since they've been around - forgot how good it felt.
Isn't it funny how when you look forward to something time goes by so slow in anticipation of it? It's the case here as well - yet I feel like the clock is running out fast. Lots to do before I depart. I need to make sure my kids are squared away for their weekend with their dad, and then for the 2 days I'll be gone. Which means that ALL of my laundry needs to be done before I leave - ICK! hehe Told my kids today that I'm going out of town for a couple days - Their response....Can we go too?!?!?! LOL Told them not this trip - I'm sure they're saying to themselves "Mom's not suppose to have fun without us" I do feel guilty that I'm doing something without them - but I need some time for me. And my girlfriend who's watching them for me will make it a fun time for them - as always. They'll be saying "Mom who" hehe
Had my car checked out for the trip. Oil change, tire pressure checked, and all the fluids that keep the thing running. All looks good. I know, exciting day for me hehe Normally, I would wait until the last possible moment to take care of something like that - but I got it out of the way - feels good.
I can't wait to take a bite out of that New York Pretzel with LOTS of mustard! I know it's silly - but sometimes the littlest things mean so much. I look forward to alot of things on this trip. As anxious as I am - it's such an awesome feeling - one I wouldn't trade for anything.
Funny....looking back a month ago - New York was not on the list of places I was considering going. One of the placse I was considering was Florida - My friends leave tomorrow morning for the week of R&R. I said my goodbyes today. Asked that they toast the rest of us poor slobs they're leaving behind. They assured me that would be the case. As corny as it is - it means alot. I'm also getting a little sand and some shells brought back to me - Just a little piece of heaven. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can hit the beach up here. I miss being able to go whenever I feel like it (when I lived in Florida). Oh well, it's all good - I'm definitely happy with the selection I've made for my getaway - no where else I'd rather go.

Being from the \"Big Apple\" myself- I can tell you that the city is filled with great sites and eats. One of mine happens to be \"Willie\'s Steak House\". Check it out if you have the time...or the energy.
Be safe, and have yourself a great time.
