I am seriously thinking of sending a last attempt at a reconciliation letter to my younger ED.
Will be along the lines of "this is a new year and it would be an opportune time for starting a new blank page and wiping the slate clean.  "
 
Not sure what else I will say, but it will be either you want me in your life again or goodbye.
