Spent Saturday morning purchasing the car I was up stressing about on Friday night. They had the inside detailed on Friday evening and it turned out that after detailing and steam cleaning it looked really nice. Before it was revoltingly dirty and I had been thinking that the complete inside carpet & upholstry would have to be replaced. So, that turned out well. It's a 2000 Toyota Sienna. So now I've become a minivan driver. This is really shocking to me. What am I turning into? Sigh. I guess it'll be really convenient for me when I finally have kids. Won't have to fuss with doors and there will be plenty of space. Driving it will take some getting used to though. I've always driven old volvos. My biggest complaint is that I love to hop corners and I simply won't be able to in the Sierra without damaging the car. Spent a lot of time with my husband this weekend which was wonderful. I love spending time with him, especially when we're driving places because then he is my captive audience and we have lots of good discussions about things. I've actually managed to track my temperature for long enough to start to see a pattern. I'm impressed because I tend to be patchy about keeping records. My mood is pretty even right now. Finally managed to submit my application for substitute teaching to one of the nearby districts and they may start calling me out on jobs as early as Wednesday. So I'm excited about that although simultaneously nervous. I'll feel good to generate some income again.
