I am really not doing so well with this goal.  I did do some dishes last night only to dirty more.  I did take my son's bed apart that we are giving away, but really I have been too lazy.  I just dont know where to start because it is such chaos. The ironic thing is that right now the physical chaos also represents the spiritual, emotional, and possibly the mental chaos as well.  So which do I work on first to have a balance?

thank you Bev. I really needed to know. Now I just need to figure out how to work on the spiritual. There really is not much support here for single parents and the from the faith I belong to they think all you have to do is pray and lay hands on the child and if you believe he will be healed. So basically because my son has issues they think I dont believe. I believe I believe I BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello I was reading your profile and I understand the spiritual and emotional chaos. I\'m going though the same thing. I use to be an Assembly of God minister before my health went down hill then my husband of 13 1/2 yrs divorced me took my kids and left me in the hospital with no place to go and only a small disability check that couldn\'t pay the rent. It is a long story but fast forward we both remarried and live in 2 different states. God has brought my daughter back to me, but spiritually I feel empty. I was very strong in my faith but after loosing everthing I felt lonely. I believe and have faith in God but don\'t feel His presents like I use to. I pray several times a day but just feel empty and don\'t know why. So I understand, and am here for you. Cherri

I understand the loss of spirituality. I had my faith turn my son away...the priest actually said, \"I don\'t think Ryan belongs here.\" And, I had a life long friend who decided to end our relationship because my illness was due to not truly accepting Jesus Christ as my savior, in her eyes.
As to your question of where to start? At least for me, the less I think about it and the more I just get up and do, the better. I have to make myself stay on task...I try to get tunnel vision so I won\'t go off on tangents, seeing other things or thinking of other things that need to be done...I\'ve stood in the kitchen repeating, dishes, dishes, dishes...in my head just so I won\'t turn and see the washing machine and go for laundry...lol. If you start with spiritual, maybe some meditation books would help so you can concentrate or something like \"Chicken Soup for the Soul\". Alanon also offers daily affirmation type books...although it\'s geared toward addiction, it covers the broad spirituality and uplifting thoughts that apply to everyone.
Just some ideas.
