day 5

Today is day 5 and I am not white-knuckling it.  I will admit at 6pm I think about a nice, cold beer especially on these hot nights lately.  But that's all it is.  I do not feel compelled to take the few steps to the local 7 Eleven.  I'm able to drive anwhere at anytime and that is so new to me I actually forget that I can.  Kinda funny.  I went to the laundry mat at 10 am yesterday and that was a first for me.  I'm having a horrible time sleeping but I know this too shall pass.  I start my new job tomorrow so I will just have to set my alarm cuz it seems I am getting my best sleep between 6am and 8am.  Wouldn't set very well if I woke up at 8 and I'm supposed to be at work.  (  I have not used an alarm clock since I was 18 years old ).I'm more anxious about what to wear tomorrow than any stupid beer that has continously been bent on ruining my happiness.I am not in a pity party nor feeling deprived.  I'm thinking what I should do next.  Volunteer to help an elderly person in their home keeps coming to mind.  I've always wanted to do that.  Now that I can drive anytime of the day I could be of real help.  Shop for him/her, etc....Well that's my latest.Thank you all for your loving support.Kate
