...I wish to thank everyone for their kind words and emotional support--in spirit, or otherwise...it has meant a very great deal, to me, these last months...:>)Naturally, I installed a couple of new programs on my computer, yesterday, and naturally--as always--I am now receiving the "blue screen of Microsoft Windows Death," every now and then...I am not surprised...I cannot EVER remember a time when this has NOT happened to me, new computer, or not...at work, or at home...my sis and dad are baffled...again, I am not...but, this is going to keep me offline for a couple of days, until sis can help me sort out what's really going on...first, she is going to reinstall Windows and see if that fixes the problem...either way, I will be off the radar for a bit, so--again--my thanks to all of you, and my fondest wishes and prayers that you all stay well and as happy as possible...I hope to be back, again, before this upcoming weekend...Dad, sis and I are cleaning out G.M.'s place, today and tomorrow...I "SHOULD" be back at work at the new bldg. on WED., so from there, guess sis and Dad will have to take care of the rest...Dad is now in a bad funk...sometimes, just stands/sits in the living room of G.M.'s place and stares off for ten minutes at a time...meanwhile, sis and I are flying around, doing light scrubbing, sorting, packing, labeling...I know my dad wishes he were anyplace else but where he is...Think I told a couple of folks that the other relatives agreed to G.M.'s cremation, but only when they found out it would cost them nothing...the latest issue is that no one can find her headstone...just the family plot headstone ( ?) that lists the imm. "plot area" as their own...well, that's not how I remembered it, the last time we toured around there when I was at Mayo, but I can't find the family photos to prove it (we were heavy into some geneaology research, at the time...); will have to think, tomorrow, while I clean, to see if I remember where I saw those photos last...I was absolutely sure that there was at least a plaque, there....Mom and I, esp., have been watching the moving Ken Burns documentary about WWII...it means so much to Mom, as she recalls so many of her older neighbors being MIA, or killed, during that time...what a grim experience for folks of that generation...out of WWI, into a great depression, then smack into WWII and then Korea...nope, I couldn't have gotten through it, knowing I'd lost someone, back then, along the way...that's one thing I'm grateful for: having been born when I was. Take care, all, and God Bless! :>)
