I'm feeling very shaky, but a place that I had been trying to get work in for the last 2.5 years has now accepted me on a trial basis...I haven't done their particular brand of work, before, but they are going to try to allow me as much leeway to learn on the job, as possible.   I already "quashed" any driving-for-the-company issues and stated that I do not have a vehicle of my own at this time, due to lack of $...which, is true, pretty much; they replied that they didn't see that as an issue...that they really need someone to play "homebody," there at the office, while they are on other onsite projects...someone who will be loyal to the co. & not bleed them dry of project $ and try to help them get more organized...naturally, after Target wouldn't even hire me, I accepted.  I get sl. higher than minimum wage, but no health ins., so I will have to save up for that, but I don't really care...I just want a chance to try and reinstate my drafting skills & not leech off of my parents, for once...I am SO GLAD that I didn't knuckle under and go back to school, 'cause my parents would've had to shell out 2X what they are, now, just to keep me afloat...Even if the co. fires me, or the co. goes bust, I will at least get paid for about 2 weeks...so, I am trying to be hopeful about the future--although, as usu., the future truly scares me A LOT--but, mostly, I am just plain relieved, right now...When I got home from the interview, I went out to the clothesline to get the laundry in, and I just cried thanks to heaven...I so hope that this is the end of my employment dry spell...I wish to thank everyone who prayed for me and kept good thoughts going for me...it truly does mean so much!Have a great weekend!
