...y'know, chaos just continues to reign, here. My Dad's had about 7 tantrums in the last 48 hours and 2 nightime alcoholic bouts, due to "unexpected catastrophies" (acc. to him)...
Granted, some "catastrophies"were pretty awful: G.M.'s extremely leaky kitchen sink that ran ALL OVER the place in her apt. & the fact that the apt. maintenance help let that problem lag for about a week; the beading around our new bathroom tile isn't straight because the baseboards aren't straight; he tore a hole in his waterbed sheets, because he was "lit" and thrashing around so hard w/nightmares & bad apnia that it even woke my mom and I up (yup, he has no memory of that...) and then G.M.'s new doctor called and had to cancel an appt. an hour before they were to go see her, because of a hospital emergency...I would feel more sympathetic with my dad's angst, if my dad would just go and SEE someone professional and talk and get some starting help for these anger/alcohol issues...but, as per usu., anyone who suggests it is just "*&^$ed." So, no one bothers to bring it up, again...thank God he doesn't tipple during the day! That's all we'd need, next...
Meanwhile, Mom's cripping around on 3 hours of sleep/day, due to her lupus/DISH pain & is very willing/tough, in trying to be helpful and productive for all of us, every day. But, when she and I go out in the evenings to talk, she is inwardly heartbroken about her life and still wants to help my dad so much, no matter how angry she feels about what he says/does...
Let me make something clear...I am not necessarily directing this message at anyone in particular, so much as I am psychically releasing it from my awareness: I'M NOT THAT GENEROUS A PERSON!
Unless someone can prove to Judge Judy and I that an individual is truly physically/psychologically/psychically disabled, they get 3 strikes in wasting my life's time, and then, they're OUT! (...unless you are an employer, of course, and I really, really, really have no other monetary choice...sadly, no worries, there, lately...)
Meanwhile, I'm off to hide in sci-fi, for a while, and mull this over during the breaks...I wish you all a more productive weekend, than mine appears to be shaping up to be...
