I wouldn't call it a nightmare, exactly, but I had the most oppressive dream, last night...I had "won" a trip to Oxford, overnight; because it was cut-rate, we all stayed in the "warehouse" at Oxford, where the school kept all of their less-expensive antiques that they couldn't sell.  The place, even at night, was like Grand Central Station, and while all of the U.K. folks, there, were especially kind, I had a pit-in-the-stomach feeling that something was going to go wrong...plus, I was sad that my mom wasn't there with me; even when she had started to become ill, we had talked about going to the U.K., someday.I overslept the next day in the warehouse.  All of the rest of the U.S. contestants had long gone, and no one had awakened me on time, for our flight back to the States.  I was stuck:  no ticket, purse, money or I.D.  Those had all been left in the care of the Trip Director, as per the rules...found the U.S. Counsulate in the warehouse, but they couldn't help, because I had no I.D.  I couldn't call home, either, because I had no wallet, phone card, cell phone...I spent the morning and part of the afternoon wandering about the U.K. "stalls" set up in Oxford's warehouse, trying to find help.  Finally, one of the deans came across me and said the police had been trying to find me; one of the group that I'd been with had not made it back to the States and had come up missing...since I'd "stayed behind," I was wanted for questioning.  While the police questioned the witnesses in the warehouse, I mingled silently in the crowd, hoping no one would ask me anything...I felt guilty, because I, too, wanted the missing person to be found ok, and I knew that I had nothing to fear, because I was innocent...still, I was afraid to be forthcoming.Worst of all, though, was this overall feeling of "trapped failure":  even when I won something, it led to nothing joyful...I had just lost everything that I had possessed; would probably go to prison for something that I didn't do, and now someone, too, was probably lost forever to a family that would never see them, again.  I may as well have been drinking down poison, the whole entire time; I felt so sick and awful, inside. As it was, I overslept three hours, here at home, and felt like poop on a stick when I finally got out of bed around NOON...sadly, too, that "nasty feeling" has been with me, all day.  I haven't felt this low since my last bad depression in '04 & nothing's even happened that's bad, today...ugh.  Isn't there another planet that I can go to, until this passes...?
