This is my first entry and I'm not sure what I want to say 'cuz I have a million things on my mind. I had my surgery 5/12/08 and to date have lost 30lbs since my pre-op appt. I thought I would somehow feel more excited about the weight loss, but I don't. It's been hard to get all the water in and to eat. I feel generally well, but tire really easily. I have lots of things I could be doing, but don't want to do them...maybe I'm getting depressed. I wish I had more energy. I put in a call to my doctor's nurse, but she hasn't called back yet.

Hey there Biskt39. Don\'t beat yourself up...you are still healing. You should be tired. Give yourself a good 6weeks to 2 months to feel the energy back. That\'s the nurse in me talking not from experience. Haha! You may have to deal with some depression from time to time, your body has been thru a lot. Stay on top of it and this too shall pass. Congrats on the 30 lbs and thanks for adding me as a friend.

Thanks for the encouragement! I am feeling much better. I talked to my doctor\'s nurse finally. Apparently it may be time to stop taking by blood pressure meds. I see my primary care physician on Friday and will review meds with him. I\'ve been taking 1/2 a pill, but apparently that may be too much. I didn\'t take one yesterday and am feeling more energy already. Plus the nurse told me to start drinking water with electrolyes. I need all the energy I can get. I know what you mean about weight holding you down at work. I work in a busy er. I\'m a rad tech and work graveyard by myself...not even a clerk or transporter! The ct scanner is on the opposite side of the hospital from er and needless to say I have to be able to hustle! I appreciate your comments! My doctor wants me to return to work on 6/9! I think that\'s way too soon. What do you think? Julia
