Update

I haven't written for awhile so thought I'd give an update.
Still money is tight but I am able to eat and keep the bills paid.  Getting ready for the cold and snow. There are many things left to do around the house.  I have to reinsulate my water which is under the trailer.  I have an idea for better insulating the pipe that is closest to the outside, by boxing it in and filling full of insulation.  That will take time.  Cover the air conditioners, and fix some holes in the shed. There are some other things too.   Some of them might not get done but the water situation is pretty important. I use to have a forced air space heater so when the water froze, it was no problem getting it unfroze but I no longer have one and am thinking about buying one at home depot. They costs $300, just for a small one.

A funny thing happened to me a few weeks ago....well... actually, it was more annoying then anything.
We have these neighbors who don't work, well...they say they work because they help out a local farmer but because one of them is on disability, the farmer barters with them and gives them animals instead of cash....which they cannot afford to even feed!  They have these 3 goats, the male of which is in heat, and on this one day, they all 3 escaped from their pen as I started my daily run.  They chased me down the road thinking I had food!  It must have looked pretty funny to cars going by being chased by 3 goats.  The male kept trying to jump on my back which really pissed me off!
I  got about a mile or so down the road when this couple were walking. They asked me if the animals belonged to me and I simply said no.  The goats hung around the people walking and I was pretty happy to get rid of them.
So the people arrived home and asked where their goats were and I told them where I last saw them. Eventually, the goats were returned to their owners...who can't afford to feed them....so their kids were at my house picking up apples from the wild apple trees behind my house to feed their animals......goats, pigs, turkeys, chickens, geese!  I dunno!

If I don't sell anything all day but I get my 2 miles in, then it's a good day :)

God Bless!

So happy to see your journal. Sounds like you are doing great - much better since your finger healed. The days are cooler in Maryland - everyone is mulching the leaves on their lawn. Even Texas is going to have some much cooler weather for a few days. My son and family are in Humble, TX. They work in Houston. San Antonio is a lot safer in the city area.

Hope you have a great weekend. Keep posting!

its our first snow today - apparently storm heading our way. I hope you get everything you need to get done.

I think the people in cars would have had a great laugh at you with the goats, you probably made their day.

Gosh, the goats, I can only imagine. How funny. It would have made me laugh just watching you and I haven\'t laughed about anything for awhile. I needed to read this journal. Hugs Bob and take care. With the goats chasing it would have made me run faster.
