Ex

In the on again off again romance between my ex and her bf has been a rocky relationship to say the least!

He left her a week ago and went back to his mom in Connetticutte. Ex told me it was over and wanted me back but that all changed when she got into my ds account for a short time. I was afraid she would read what I wrote about her so I canceled my account on two separate occasions.

I believe that problem is solved now because her bf came back to her, picked her up and they are on their way to Florida. So now I am alone. I kinda got use to the company believe it or not. I wished them well and said I hoped they had a good trip, even told ex I would miss her :(.

I know I know what you guys are thinking but its just hard being with the same person for 30 years(including the time when we were friends) and not are apart.

Maybe its for the best.

bob wow I would not give access to my account here to even my mother....LOL I just think this place is our personal refuge...how did she get access? you have a password to this account...but for me living alone all the time I just click DS and it opens here...so she had ability to get into your computer...why even leave that option open? close down DS when you leave...reopen when coming in....hugs bill

For awhile Bill, we were sharing the same computer and I accidently forgot to sign out one day. But then I bough 2 cheap computers and gave her one and locked mine so she cannot get into it. Like u said, this place is my refuge, my daily strength, and a big part of my support I need it. hugs

Now is the time to go find a place to live. When they get back, maybe you wont be there.

Bob: I have been wondering how you are. For me, get out of the house - talk to people wherever you are. Walk your dog all around your community. Do not sit home alone watching TV every single night.

It isn\'t easy making the break after 30 years with someone, but you must force yourself to go forward. You are cheating yourself of adventures with new friends - I swear there is someone near who is waiting for you to want more for yourself - peaceful home, laughs, supportive friends, etc.

Take good care in this cold weather!

I\'m so sorry that you have lost a friendshi that lasted 30 years. It is a lifetime and won\'t be so easy to get over. Listen to the advice you have gotten here on DS, find a place to live and don\'t be there when they return. Believe it or not, there is somebody else waiting to find someone just lie you out there, you just have to get up and find them. You will grieve tis relationship, don\'t be afraid of the process. It is the only way you will get past it. Then you have to learn to accept what is not to be. The stages, popularly known by the acronym DABDA, include:

1.Denial \"I feel fine.\"; \"This can\'t be happening, not to me.\"
Denial is usually only a temporary defense for the individual. This feeling is generally replaced with heightened awareness of possessions and individuals that will be left behind after death.
2.Anger \"Why me? It\'s not fair!\"; \"How can this happen to me?\"; \'\"Who is to blame?\"
Once in the second stage, the individual recognizes that denial cannot continue. Because of anger, the person is very difficult to care for due to misplaced feelings of rage and envy.
3.Bargaining \"Just let me live to see my children graduate.\"; \"I\'ll do anything for a few more years.\"; \"I will give my life savings if...\"
The third stage involves the hope that the individual can somehow postpone or delay death. Usually, the negotiation for an extended life is made with a higher power in exchange for a reformed lifestyle. Psychologically, the individual is saying, \"I understand I will die, but if I could just have more time...\"
4.Depression \"I\'m so sad, why bother with anything?\"; \"I\'m going to die... What\'s the point?\"; \"I miss my loved one, why go on?\"
During the fourth stage, the dying person begins to understand the certainty of death. Because of this, the individual may become silent, refuse visitors and spend much of the time crying and grieving. This process allows the dying person to disconnect from things of love and affection. It is not recommended to attempt to cheer up an individual who is in this stage. It is an important time for grieving that must be processed.
5.Acceptance \"It\'s going to be okay.\"; \"I can\'t fight it, I may as well prepare for it.\"
In this last stage, the individual begins to come to terms with her/his mortality or that of a loved one.

You have alot to offer someone, don\'t stop going forward looking for that someone special. You will find her.

Can you afford to move? Everyone says it as if its simple-but is it? But I do agree-move if you can, otherwise take that chick magnet and get out as much as you can. Coffee with a little dog beside you is a great way to strike up conversations. I like the new friend in the mirror!
Take care-
lots of love

Well that just shows how fickle your ex is...she wants you when the bf is gone but when he is back she flies to him and leaves you flat! I echo what dianmorris wrote...get out and meet people...go for coffee, the library, community centers just to mention a few...lots of people pass through and you never know who you could meet! How abut volunteering at a animal rescue...you never know...........
