Stressed

So ex figured out how to get into my email again and unfortunately, I neglested to keep old mail erased. She read letters between me and my sisters from way back when we were going through divorce which were critical to her an many ways.  She was very offended by them, obviously although she had no business being in my private email anyway.
We had a big fight over the letters which were not only from my sisters but also from some supportive friends.
To make a long story short, I spent a little time living in a friends garage  because I couldn't handle the constant barage of belittling, shame and guilt induced yelling from her! I mean, we are divorced for pete's sake so what's it to her now?
She paid $300 for an eviction notice which is my Christmas present!  However, I have until the end of January to find another place but in the meantime, her and her bf are making my life miserable.  I'll take off and go for long long walks just to get away from it all.  I am about to lose it.  I am on pins and needles living here.
On the other hand, she will give me mixed signals by telling me I can stay as long as I help out with the expenses which is what I have been doing. He isn't working and she is only working part time so they kinda need me here for the financial help and to fix things when they break, plus shovel the yard. Her bf is a couch potato prefering to watch game shows while I do the shoveling. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the exercise and being outdoors so it shows you the difference between the two of us.
Once in awhile he will make a snide remark but I'll just laugh. I am older then him but better in every way except that I don't baby my ex like he does.
I know what you all are going to say an thats, get out but unfortunately, my resources are very limited at this point in time.  My depression has hit a new high though and I have been doubling up on my medication on occasion.
I may have handled my stress in the wrong way while I was married by getting into drugs and alcohol and by turning to other women for conversation and support but I surely don't deserve the constant daily drama that has been unfolding every day here for the past 3 weeks!
I told her the other evening how she thinks I feel when she goes to bed every night with someone else while I go to bed alone in the spare bedroom and she didn't have an answer for that except to say it was all my fault from the beginning.
I want so bad to have someone, like me, who can be supportive and work with me instead of against me and not fly off the handle when things don't go right. If any of you reading this feel this fits you then please call me :)
I haven't felt this bad in a long time. Thats why I haven't been on here much lately.  It's been really hard lately but I know it will pass. I am eternally optimistic.
Love to all!

i have been wondering where you have been! i miss talking with you!

But you are right, she just needs to deal with it. She is currently in a situation where she is having her cake and eating it too. not a good thing. I understand that resources are really crimped right now, but start looking around for a new place or someone who is looking for a room mate and see what you can do.

in the mean time, KNOW that you are not only better than her BF, but also better than HER. this will all come back to bite her in the ass eventually. Why not sign up for some dating sites and get out and meet some people? I bet it would do you some good!

Bob, I\'m so sorry to hear this..
You have to get out of there though.. Start looking into some kind of state assistance..
It\'s never going to get better living with them. They will continue to use you for as long as you allow it.

Hey, didn\'t you pay her to live there for an extended amount of time? If she filed an eviction notice, then I would think she would have to reimburse you the money you paid for rent...Look into it, don\'t allow her to walk all over you..you are brighter then she is...take it to court if you have to.

If I were you I would be sending my time at social services to find out about emergency living. Remember nothing will ever be handed to you, you have to go and find assistance for yourself....check with churches, shelters, etc.. If you keep searching, you will find something eventually. Look into section 8 housing..just keep looking until you find something. GET OUT OF THERE...

And I hope you are listing all the things you do for them with a fair price attached to each item. Present them with invoices for everything you do, or don\'t do anything for them at all.

If she yells at you.. Tell her to shut the eff up. You have no ties to her. You don\'t even have to talk to her. Nor him....

And you are better off going to bed alone then to be going to bed with someone who berates you..

Many hugs to you....and please please please get out there and look for somewhere to live.

Bob:

I assure you this will all be a memory in time so just breathe and know you are the best she ever had - if her life with this new bf was so great, neither one of them would know you were around.

I am asking you to totally ignore both of them. Say whatever to anything if you have to talk to them.

Go to Social Service immediately and get assistance. Look for a room in a house until you are financially able.

Do not get depressed - you have your health and you are smart. Look around when you are out, a lot of people are barely able to think!

You do not want to be in this position in 6 months, so one step in front of the other - many of us have lived through major changes, so I know you will be fine.

Make sure you get enough sleep, eat well and be with a friend or two. They can put this all in perspective. Take good care.

My dear friend Bob,
I can\'t really add any more advice. I agree with everyone. I think you are going to be so happy when you get free- I like the idea of getting on those dating websites. Go out and see some music. Taking your ever faithful 4 legged friend out and about.
Missed you heaps, Bob. Merry Christmas.

I am glad to hear from you again although the content of your journal is not the best news. I say ditto on seeking assistance for finding a place away from the turmoil and hopefully a year from now you will be telling us how great things are going for you.
Hugs!

Screw her - go to the YMCA, or look for a boarding house and rent a room. It wouldn\'t be any different than what your paying her now. The best of luck to you buddy - leave before the snow comes so the asshold boyfriend will have to get his lazy butt out there to shovel.

Good Grief, Bob! What is wrong with that woman. I don\'t mean to sound rude, since I know she\'s your ex. But, hacking into your computer to read your messages. You are right, she is sending mixed signals and sounds like she wants to have her cake and eat it too. Not a good plan. She has her BF there and is worried about who and what YOU are writing. I would get the heck out of there and start living my own life. You deserve better than this. Let her BF be the man of the house, and you start your own life with someone who will treat you with respect. Ok....now THAT\'S off my mind..Now, Merry Christmas to you. Give yourself the gift of getting away from that nutty couple.
Hugs. Rach

Wow, Bob! How much more can you take?! I am glad you are not exposed to the bull crap; you are a survivor for sure. I do pray and hope that things go better for you each day. I wish you this Christmas Wish on this Christmas Night whatever it is YOU wish for. It\'s a special wish, you know. God bless you.
And, I wish you a Merry Christmas, Bob. You\'re soooooooooo lucky to have gotten away. I admire you greatly. You will be alright; of that I am sure.
Peace and Love, your friend, Franciann
