update.
It's frustrating having to do things with my left hand but I can type ok with my left hand and my middle finger on my right hand.
I skipped several doses of my narcotic meds today. I have been taking ibprofen which, I think, works better anyway. My AA sponser said no need to get a white chip because I am taking them as prescribed and not by the handful like I use to. The wife will only give me them at the right time anyway. Thats one good thing about her.
I was thinking about what I was going to be able to get in my divorce settlement but, on the other hand, thinking about that distracted me from paying attention to where the saw blade was and now u know the rest of the story. I am kinda thinking the message in that is not to worry about it. Concentrate on the present and not the future. The future will take care of itself if left in the Hands of a Power greater then myself!
I hope thats it anyway. Have to wait and see :)

bobby that is great I use alieve for knee pain as well as tramadol but more so alieve is sometimes just as good...I wanted to joke yesterday that you did not need that thumb did you but I am sicker than others...LOL I know it hurts and the thought of something like that happening is horrific to think...in fact when I got the email message of your journal entry it said you cut off your.....then it blanked out....it was end of the email message...so I rushed in thinking you cut off your entire hand or arm....it is scary to think of...power tools are dangerous even in trained hands...
I worked in school near shop room and the shop teacher (wood shop) amost did the same as you,,,his glove got caught and pulled his hand into the blade...luckily he just got slight cut inbetween thumb and finger on his right hand....that is so scary to think of...I am not well trained in tools as some are and I still think I know how to handle them...
to me your post said something about orders you had waiting and that means your skilled in this and should be better than me at it...I do not want the same results...so sorry bob
and my sick mind knows that right handed people need thumbs to write witha pen ok I know you need your thumb...but I sick as sick can be...LOL
Dont know about God-but if you wanted to look at it that way-the nurse was an angel helping you how she did.
Guess the ex is showing some humanity and that is a nice upside. Your misfortune gives others a chance to show their best sides. I can think of easier ways to do it! But give in to God but also get that lawyer. He would like you to watch out for yourself. (God that is!) (maybe)
