update

I have a dr appt on monday morning and will find out more about my injury. I'll keep u posted.
Still in alot of pain. I have been taking ibprofen which seems to help a little. Better then the narcotics even.  My tolerance is just too high on the percosets and oxycontin and I am afraid to ask for a higher dose.
While I was sitting in the er room, waiting for transportation to the other hospital for surgery, I noticed alot of dried blood on the opposite hand. It was disgusting and turned my stomach so I asked a passing nurse assist to please wash it off for me.  So she came back with some wet washcloths and did just that.
I was so thankful, I told her something so small yet it means so much to me.  I guess I just appreciate the little things in life.

So I asked God why he lt this happen to me, then I realized that God didn't interfere with my life and that I made a decision to be neglectful. It was my decision and mine alone.  We make our own choices in this life which force us to live with the consequences of our actions. I know that when I made the choice to be stupid, I never had God  on my mind so now I have to take responsibility for my own actions which is something I was taught  in AA years ago.
This was one of life's lessons.
Hugs!

God seems to help us face things more than he does stop them happening Bob. Also heard once that as people who got away with so much, we have to take our fair share at dealing with life.

Keep trucking.

I believe God doesn\'t give us more than we can handle. Sometimes it seems too much and overwhelming and that\'s why we have friends and significant others to reach out to in time of need to walk with you. Love you my Angel.

do you have any Accident and Dismemberment insurance? I know your not thinking of it but if you have it they would pay for this....

Well, personally I think there are no accidents. This calls to memory the auto accident I had when I was about 30. I was an emotional wreck and then I was in a car wreck. I never SAW the car coming when I stopped at the stop sign and LOOKED, never saw it, but it was there all right. It hit me broad side, my car spun around and I had to aim for the lamp post (I had a choice I had to make in two seconds: hit a parked car or hit the lamp post). There were no seatbelts in my Duster so in those two seconds I aimed at the lamp post, put both feet down hard on the brake, and gripped the steering wheel. I actually swung forward toward the windshield but my grip on the steering wheel saved me from hitting it. The car was knocked off its chassis! \"Accident\"? um.....not on purpose but definitely not for no reason. BE CAREFUL with yourself. God doesn\'t inflict injury but He saved your thumb! :o)
