update

I have been very generous with my wife lately.  I gave her $45 for gas the other day and I notice the tank was almost empty this morning so I don't know where she is traveling to use so much gas so quick!  I knew the oil was in dire need of being changed so picked up oil and filter this morning plus a few groceries and changed it myself before she went to work.  She didn't even say thankyou!
Guest just sat on the couch and read the paper and watched the military channel and complained about the chinese people wanting to stab us in the back.  I still don't know what she sees in him. Ahh well.  I am more intelligent, more good looking and more talented but apparently not so good in bed.  I guess we were just never sexually compatible and I can understand that.  It's important in a marriage to take care of each others needs.
I went for a long run again yesterday and I felt awesome afterwards!  When I went to bed last night I was still feeling the "high".  I also went to an AA meeting yesterday morning. It was my home group meeting and my new sponser picked me up. We had a long talk on the way down.  Sometimes God brings people into our lives at the right time to help us out, and I am sure he is one of them, as well as my ds friends here.  They are people who follow their heart and answer to a Higher Power like I do.  There were many times in my life when I said things or did things and didn't know why, and then somebody was help by it and that was good.
There was something else I wanted to say today but I can't remember. My mind is wandering around thinking of all the helpful people in my life.  I am so fortunate.  What a great day to be alive!
God Bless!

Given the circumstances you\'re sounding good Bob. It\'s nice that you got a chance to talk with your sponsor. I think it helps a lot to be able to talk about stuff with someone that is not emotionally attached to your situation. I happy to hear you were able to do that,.

Cheers!

Thankyou both. I know there will be some big bumps along the road but I am enjoying the smooth ride while I can. hugs

Glad you\'re doing all right. Keep in mind there\'s a difference between being nice and being a doormat though. I leaned on my AA family heavily through my divorce and it really saved my sanity.

My first thought on the gas money...did it get into the gas tank? Did you see the gauge? Maybe just part of it got there? And again $45 would be 1/2 a tank now days.
I am glad to hear you clicked with your sponsor and have support.
Another thought I have is are you trying to show up the BF with your generous offers and works? It would be understandable but I am not sure if the prize would be worth the effort.
I saw on the walking spread sheet you got in 6 miles yesterday...great run!

Thanks Joyce. That 6 miles was only 4 miles jogging and 2 miles walking the dog. I am not really trying to show up the bf, am actually quite humble, was trying to build on my already low self esteem but I understand what you mean about the prize not being worth the effort and you are so right! We have a subaru and 45 will fill it up if it\'s completely empty.
