update

So our guest is spending a week with us and will return to conneticut to pack up his belongings and move here permanently, is the way I understand it.  My wife feels that we are married in name only so I am to stay out of their way and spend the bulk of my time in the spare bedroom, outta sight and outta mind, while they commit adultry right under my nose.
Well tonight is the Celtics playoff game and I am watching it, even if I have to kill someone to get control of the remote! Enough is enough, this is my house too!
Since he has been here, she hasn't asked me for a penny to pay any of the bills!  I am sure she feels a little guilt over the way she has been treating me, AND the dog who does not like our guest and has bitten him on several different occasions.  Wife keeps telling me to call the dog off and, of course, I pretend I didn't hear her and I take my time in doing so.  She is daddy's little girl, loves the daddy and does what daddy tells her to do lol :)
I met a dog trainer on here and she has given me some insights into how dogs see the world around them and how they react to it. Thankyou anthem :)
I haven't heard from my wife's lawyer yet. I think she is having trouble coming up with the $1000 to pay him with.
This morning and last night my wife and her bf encouraged me to find another woman.  I told them I had no interest which wasn't really lying.  It was stretching the truth.  I am not publicly seeking another relationship until after the divorce is over with.  I want the divorce judge to know all about my wife's adultry and moving her bf in here causing me emotional abuse.  I think I will get more then half in the divorce settlement, not that we have alot but having a place to live free and clear is something nowadays.  Plus I take pride in the work I have done around the house, the trees and flowers I have planted, that have grown so well over the years.  That means something to me and I know it does my wife also.
This morning I took a look at the front brakes on my wifes car and told her they needed to be replaced. Her bf knows nothing about mechanics, she confided in me one day so guess who will get that brake job?
I don't want to see anybody's life at risk so I will do the job for free like I always do........
After I wrote this, I checked my mailbox and my divorce summons was in my mailbox......

Bob, I can\'t imagine the gall it takes to do what your wife is doing. You have my sympathies. I don\'t know much about divorce law,but it might be a good idea to send some sort of notarized or registered letter to your wife to let her know that you find this behavior objectionable. Then she won\'t be able to tell a divorce lawyer that you agreed to it without protest.but like I said, I don\'t know much about law, I just feel incredible compassion for you in your circumstances. I wish I could help. Smiles, Leo

Sorry to hear Bob. Really stinks.

You\'re absolutely right to stick up for your rights in the house. They\'re not making it comfortable for you in the least - quite the opposite. You don\'t need to do anything to make it comfortable for them. Tell them they can move into the spare room if they want privacy. Your wife brought a stranger into your house without your consent - I\'m not sure what the legality of that is? I would imagine you can legally force him to leave? May want to check on it?

Hang in there Bob.

Well at least the divorce is moving along which is better than wondering \"when\".
Arem is echoing what I asked you earlier about your legal rights to have the BF ousted. Did you ever check with your local police enforcement. I also agree you should have some written evidence that you object to strengthen your case.
Remember this man is a \"guest\" in YOUR house - not you are a guest in your own house! Set the rules right off the get go.
I think I love your dog!

Wow, Bob. I am so very sorry to hear how all of this is going. As if ending a relationship isn\'t hard enough, having it rubbed in your face only makes it worse. Regardless of the status of your marriage itself, your wife should have compassion and respect for you as a human being. It is just wrong how she is treating you.

I will be praying for your strength to make it through all of these rough moments. In the meantime, puppy deserves an extra special treat for looking out for you. ;)

Life I gave her the treat as you asked! Arem and Joyce, I understand what you are saying but my problems is that the poor guy, even though he is screwing my wife, has no place to go and I hate confrontations even if I am being taken advantage of. I wish I wasn\'t like this but it\'s the way I am.
Thankyou Leo
Nora, I love my little girl :)

Hey bob, not your problem that he has no where to go. Does he have family? Maybe he can get state aid in the state that he lives in, because I don\'t think he can in a new state.

He will then become your burden.can you afford his extras? The added utilities he will be using, the food he will be eating?

Get a lease in place, or he may end up having squatters rights and there will be no way of getting him out.

Talk to a legal representative. If you have no money, start with legal aid, let them direct you.

This is not a good situation at all.
Listen to all of us yes, but don\'t take our word for any legal representation. Every divorce, every situation is different. Though the baselines are the same, there is no way of telling how yours will turn out.

Talk to someone who knows the facts.
Even go to the courthouse one day and sit in on court hearings. See if it\'s something you can handle doing without representation. You need to educate yourself and fast.

Take my hat of too you. Just remember things can go wrong, you need to be prepared, and that unfortunately includes getting a lawyer. There is a lot at stake. Kisses to your lovely loyal dog.
Hang onto the remote!
