Looking back I can't help but wonder had, I got help for my dog sooner, would she have survived longer, had the vet put her on different meds like the ones I read about online would she have lived longer,  but the vet who did the ekg made it sound like her problems were dismal. One side of her heart was dying. The heart was enlarged however with medication, she can live a very long life and I believed the vet because out last dog lived an extra 2 years on those water pills and it was something different that killed him!
Took her back to the vet after she gained 5 pounds and that was when the vet did the x ray and ekg and told us about the heart showing us pictures and what not and said on the ekg the strong left side peaked twice to the weak right sides once on occasion.  But we had taken her in long before that when she was having a really fast heart rate and that should have tipped off the vet that she had a heart problem but at the time he said she was fine.  No wonder he is the cheapest vet around.  I guess you get what you pay for.  But he is a personable guy and I kinda like him just the same strange as it may sound.
Anyway, it's over and she is gone and I miss her very much.  She understood everything I said, well most everything, and she loved to play!  She had a box of toys and could identify them by name.  Oh boy, do I miss her!
Our souls will meet again in heaven should I be lucky enough to get there!
