anxious

Looking back I can't help but wonder had, I got help for my dog sooner, would she have survived longer, had the vet put her on different meds like the ones I read about online would she have lived longer,  but the vet who did the ekg made it sound like her problems were dismal. One side of her heart was dying. The heart was enlarged however with medication, she can live a very long life and I believed the vet because out last dog lived an extra 2 years on those water pills and it was something different that killed him!
Took her back to the vet after she gained 5 pounds and that was when the vet did the x ray and ekg and told us about the heart showing us pictures and what not and said on the ekg the strong left side peaked twice to the weak right sides once on occasion.  But we had taken her in long before that when she was having a really fast heart rate and that should have tipped off the vet that she had a heart problem but at the time he said she was fine.  No wonder he is the cheapest vet around.  I guess you get what you pay for.  But he is a personable guy and I kinda like him just the same strange as it may sound.
Anyway, it's over and she is gone and I miss her very much.  She understood everything I said, well most everything, and she loved to play!  She had a box of toys and could identify them by name.  Oh boy, do I miss her!
Our souls will meet again in heaven should I be lucky enough to get there!
God Bless!

I am sorry for the loss of your dog. You did the right thing taking her to the vets and caring for her and getting her on medication. I have seen so much cruelty to animals in my life you and your family are a credit to animals. You did the best thing for your dog. You sound like you always had your dogs welfare in mind. Sometimes though even when we try very hard it dose not go the way we want. Although I bet she was so grateful to have such caring owners that took her to the vets, fed her, walked her, and gave her a cool box of toys. She knows that you had her best interests at heart.

Sorry to hear about your dog Bob. Life is full of change and it takes a while to adjust to it. We become attached to people and to animals and its hard to let them go when their time is up. We just have to believe that its all a part of a bigger picture that unfortunately we can only see a small part of.

I hope that the sun shines on you today and in the time to come. Sadness will eventually be replaced by joy - this too shall pass.

It is understandable to wonder IF but also it is time for the good memories to wrap around your heart and let them bring a smile to your face.
Any update on the possibility of getting the new puppy?

I felt the same way when my Cinda starting doing poorly. She was my rock for many years and I knew I could not get by without another dog. Of course, I knew the other dog would never replace Cinda, but Gunnar is a fun loving guy who has brought me joy. Life goes on and we will be with all our loved ones again one day. At least your dog is not suffering.
