I have been keeping myself very busy lately trying to stay away from becoming depressed. Well, today was a rainy day and there was not much for me to do with my daughter after work. I cried some more and began to realy miss my baby. I suppose it is good to cry at times because I need to come to acceptance. I need to deal with the pain now and not surpress it. I just wish this never had to happen to anyone. Yesterday the music teacher at the school I work for came up to tell me that she had just found out and how sorry she was. She shared with me that she had had 3 miscarriages, one at 6 weeks, one at 4 and a half months and a still birth at 9 months. This all happened before her first child was born. I admire her strength and courage and her sharing this painful experience with me. I cannot tell myslef enough how grateful I am for my 3 year old daughter. I took my pregnancy and healthy birth with her for granted. I am so grateful for having brought her into this world. I love her beyond words. I have learned that I should never take for granted the blessings that have come into my life.

I know what you mean... I think it is natural to take it for granted that things went well when a first pregnancy works out. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter now and everything went just about perfectly with her (thankfully!). I was so devastated when I miscarried a few months ago. I know that if I do get pregnant again, I will not take it for granted next time. Hugs to you...
