60 minutes of cross-training and Dragon Boat races! - 15 Days To the Race!

Today's workout: 60 minutes of cross training (walking, biking, swimming, anything but running)
I am watching my family race dragon boats in Long Beach, where teams gather from all over the world to compete. I believe there's even a team here from China. My 60 minutes of cross training today consists of walking back and forth to take photos of the racers, which I will update this entry with soon. It's a great cultural event to experience.
Food Log: On vacation still, so my food log is not as healthy as I'd like. I had two big meals today-- an authentic breakfast burrito from San Diego, where I insist is the best Mexican food outside of Mexico, and then Korean BBQ for dinner. I didn't snack, and these are my only food choices for the day-- my way of portion control.
Another vacation tip: I always try to listen to my stomach. If I'm hungry, I'll eat. If I'm full, I will STOP EATING. That second point is probably more important.
Tomorrow's workout: 5 mile long run.

You\'re on vacation. It\'s alright to eat food like that. XD And I gotta listen to my own stomach more often. v_v

Anyway....I hope all of this training really pays off for you.

glad that you had a good time at the boat races. Walking up and down was a good cross training workout. When I trained for the disney marathon in 1998, I use to do that too along with rollerblading and biking. If your ever interested in doing anything further than a 10k, Every July Utica NY puts on a fabulous 15K run - it fields over 12,000 runners every year, extremely popular. I\'ve done it 5 times in a row and the crowds are 9.2 miles long. You are never lonely. Just a thought!!! No issues about your food log, as long as you don\'t overdo it.
