6 week check up.

I had my 6 week checkup yesterday! I feel great.the Doctor said I was doing great 30 pounds down since surgery, My knees, feet and ankles do not hurt anymore.  I questioned her on the complications others have in my "support group" here on DS...you know the inability to eat certain foods, dumping, nausea, vomiting, pain ect. it so surreal I have none of these and keep expecting them.   I follow the meal plan my doctor gave me for Stages 1 and 2 today  I moved to Stage 3 - general whole soft foods today, this morning I had a poached egg on 1/2 slice of a Sandwich round YUMO, for Dinner I will have 1/4 cup of whole wheat spagetti, with a dolop of turkey sauce. and no more pureed green beans! She told me my weight loss if very good (I know I am not getting the proper amount of exercise) and that the bigger most dramatic weight loss for 4-6 weeks out is usually for people who started out much heavier than me.  She just kept repeating I am just beginning on my WLS journey!  and wait til I hit 3-4 months out then I will believe it. so I felt better after that. Constipation is my only "side effect" the doctor said since I was very regular before  not to worry but not having a BM for more than 3 days is not acceptable if it causes a strain this can be bad so stool softners, Benefiber, Milk of Magnesia here I come! After my appt. I was feeling so good I took myself on down to the beach for my beach fix sat in the sand and ate my 1/4 cups of cottage cheese and applesauce! and just relaxed. I have not felt this good in probably 15 years!
