6 Weeks
Good Morning Everyone.
Yesterday was 6 weeks since my Johnny passed away. Like most of you there are good days and there are bad days. Sunday was my rough day. I had done laundry, and there was a basket of clean clothes that had been there since it first happened. I finally decided that I would put them away. The top section of the basket had my brothers clothes on top, as I started digging through more I found all the clothes that Johnny had worn the few days before he passed. No one wanted to put them away because they the were afraid that it would hurt me. I found his most favorite shorts that he would put on after his shower and his favorite shirt that he had worn to Church the Sunday before. I was putting them away, crying and talking loudly to him, asking why he had to leave me alone? When we got married we had promised each other 50 years. Anyway I held on to those shorts and the shirt like they were a lifeline. I finally stopped crying and just told him how much I loved him and how much I truly appreciated our 8 years together. I felt better afterward, which made yesterday a whole lot easier.
Johnny and I only had 8 years together but he was and always will be the greatest man in the world. I treasure our life together daily, and with his love for me he gave me the strength to face life. I do it in increments at a time right now but I've made it this far. I have a lifetime to go, but for now it's okay if it's only a little at a time. I hope you all have a great day. I'm so thankful that I found this place. Thank you for listening. Debby

Putting away that laundry really got to me too. Still,haven\'t really gone through the clothes in the closet...or coats...one day at a time I guess!
I\'m glad you found this place too!
