6 Months off the Cigarettes
This came from quitnet.com todayHello Shirley!Your Quit Date is: Saturday, September 29, 2007 Time Smoke-Free: 181 days, 9 hours, 21 minutes and 43 secondsCigarettes NOT smoked: 4535Lifetime Saved: 1 month, 4 days, 15 hoursMoney Saved: $680.23WHO'S BETTER THAN YOU TODAY?You've made it! A whole 6 months without a cigarette! In that time, you've successfully navigated the physical chaos of withdrawal, the emotional highs and lows of early quit, and the pitfalls of relapse! I'm just going to sit right here and pat myself on the back!!!! This is the first time I have not smoked for 6 months since I was 18 y/o. WOW. Went to the doctor yesterday and she told me I have to take predisone for one week to try to clear some congestion and lower my albuteral use. I'm not happy about this but I will comply. I've been having to use a lot of albuteral to get me up, going, out the door and to my desk 4 days a week. It's not good to go bounding through the door of my office to greet 30 client's while I'm gasping for air after walking one short block from the car to the office. Today is my daughter-in-laws baby shower. (their first) and they are both 35 y/o. We are all so very excited. Baby due in June. They haven't found out the sex, want to be surprised. I meet with pulmondary rehab for the first time on Thursday to start doing whatever it is they do there. I'm going to check out the IBV Valve trial, one of the sites selected to do this procedure is in my hometown. I want to do everything I can to maintain what quality of life I still have, improve it if possible and not get any worse.
