6 months later
Sunday, December 22, I moved 15 miles away to where I live now. I can't totally hate my allegedly psycho old landlord, or the downstairs idiot who played loud music at night----cause I'm much better off from being forced to move.
My new apt is warmer; no more blanket over my head in the winter, or $300 a month heating bill and still being cold. Enough of the tenants in my new building actually say "hi", instead of being barflies who give me a cold shoulder. I've actually met a couple people from my past, 15 miles away from my hometown, who I almost never came across in my hometown.
I've gone to a block party up the street where I live, numerous trips to a farmer's market 2 miles away where i've bought lots of used dvds for cheap, i tried some yoga classes, one massage, and get to double or triple bag my stuff at the self-service check-out at the nearby walmart.
Maybe most important, I had a much needed colon test in a nearby hospital---which was something no doctor in my hometown ever suggested. And there are dentists and veterinarians in a couple minutes walking distance from where i live now, just like in my hometown.

Identical experience happened to me. Was evicted by a psycho landlord in a HUD building in Philadelphia because I had a breakdown caused by a psycho neighbor who blared music 24/7. But my move to VA to be near family and in a much nicer bldg. has turned out to be a \"new lease on life\"!!!
Sounds great. . . . . . // Was living in a big, impersonal apt complex where many were Section 8/govt-assist. And it was a bad atmosphere.
Some friends noticed a place for rent in an good, residential neighborhood -- and I\'ve been *much* happier here.
No good to step out one\'s front door and figure the first person I see will send bad vibes out. For a couple years where I am, I had the thought that everyone everyone where I lived was a friendly person. Now I realize maybe 1/3 of them are grumpy and I have to keep my distance; but still and all, it is great to have a good atmosphere
where one is.

yes, definately....though it\'s possible my ex-landlord might be hoping i\'m worse off.
even police log newspaper write-ups of some of the people in my new town don\'t bother me, since, unlike where i lived before, they aren\'t neighbors, or anybody i could run into.

yeah, i have some grumpy people in my building, but at least its the excuse of them being 80 years old and in poor health, vs the barflies in my old town.
