6-29-2015-problems that have come up--possible trigger
First journal entry=yesterday I had bad acid reflux, It was strong enough that I spit out what shot up my throat. This was after breakfast. I'm not sure if it's worse to swallow all that acid back down and talk to my doc about stronger meds, or just spit it out when it comes up--it's especially bad after meals and evening meds. I take Zantac and Tums (150mg 2/day and 500mg 2/day), it doesn't seem to be working anymore. The problem with spitting out the acid, is I want to vomit again, this could become a problem if I don't address it, but I don't really know how. I can't take Nexium because it makes me too nauseated to do much of anything. I also read that older people who take it wind up with broken femurs (thigh bone). I'm 39 now, already have arthritis, I don't need bones to be breaking on me too.
Today I met what was supposed to be a new counselor, but found out I was assigned to the wrong one. There are 2 counselors where I get therapy and psych meds, that have the same first name. The wrong one went ahead and saw me. I had to fill out an intake form online and ended up having to list my meds at a different time; all 19 of them. I want to lose about 40 pounds in about a year or so. I think that would be pretty close to goal weight. When I was 130, my chiropractor said I was too small. I guess I need to see what my doc thinks. It didn't help at the last appt. that one of the check-out receptionists said it was good that I was losing weight (started at 201, down to 190 give or take 2 pounds), but that I needed to lose more. Why do drs and clinics tell people with a history of eating disorder that they need to lose weight? I already know that. I don't need it thrown into my face. Last week I was manic and hyper to the point where my friends were asking me what was wrong (I'm bipolar and part schizophrenic at the same time). Then the day I saw the doc in question, his medical assistant wrote under weight 5 pounds heavier than what the scale said. Needless to say, I was raving mad and yelling that it needed to be corrected. Usually I don't throw temper fits in public; especially ones that raise my blood pressure into the hypertension range. I take 360mg of Verapamil a day to keep bp under control, but it doesn't seem to be working anymore.
I'm not sure how often I'll get on here. I only have access to a computer when I visit my family or borrow a friends computer. It could be as long as a month before I check back in. Hopefully this is ok.
