YEAH ME, I got the virus. SHEEZ! 48 hours of Hell. And peeps, I do mean HELL. The first 24 you hope to die and the 2nd 24 you're still not sure you aren't but are above life support. ROFLOLOK, life is just peachy, as peachy goes. Told son straight up that I could watch Josh some but if gf is going to work 40 hrs my body just won't do it. This kills me as I am scared of what someone may do to him......harm him, be mean, be neglectful, shake him, etc? God forbid. So I am wondering if I should push myself beyond what I know that I can do.OK, dr. going to try me on LYRICA and I am soooo dreading it. I was really wanting to go the Parkinson's meds as they really have helped the muscle tightness and combine that with STRATERA to help with chronic fatigue. 1 agreed this was valid option but then a PSYCHRITRIST killed it and said OH NO! SHE NEEDS LYRICA. ARGH! I mean, I think the side effects of Lyrica are horrifically exactly what I am trying to get RID OFF! Confusion, drowsiness, weight gain, etc. Honey, I have all those lovely things......DUH! ROFLOLAnyway, don't have a choice. Did take the book FIBROMYALGIA FOR DUMMIES, a resume, and a current business flyer to my new PA. I explained to her (she still won't see me alone unless the counselor is in with us ROFLOL! I scare the hell out of her!) that the book was green underlined with all I do, have tried and feel. That basically it is an exact case history of my with FM. I then handed her the resume to say, this is who I was BEFORE FM, lastly I handed her the flyer and said this is what I am still trying to do, because I've not given up but altered my life because of FM. I told her the book would inform her of FM for everyone but the green highlighting will help her know my case specifically. Yes, I still scare the hell out of her. ROFLOL She is either gonna have to toughen up and get used to me or resign. And honestly, I am at a point that these "professionals" can get on board or be blasted cause I'm tired of pussy-footing around with their textbook theories that have nothing to do with REALITY!Sorry, went off on a little rant there didn't I? LOL I'm just tired of them shoving anti-depressants at me when I know dang gone well it's the Parkinson meds that help the muscle pain and make me more fluid. Yes, the Stratera would help with the Chronic Fatigue. THESE ARE PROVEN METHODS! I mean, it's not like I'm asking to kill a cat under a full moon while dancing naked wearing garlic necklaces! ROFLOL Oh, if that works, please do let me know, not against it just figured it was a looooooooooong shot! ROFLOLLove and much hugs to my peeps.

It be ok if we could just tell em what we need with out them thinkin we\'re all drug seekers! Good Luck!Keep her scared!Maybe she\'ll work better under pressure!LOL XOXOX KIM
I liked the Lyrica except for the weight gain, but it did help me cut back my pred to 5 mg as of today, I\'m going for 2.5 tomorrow! It did kill the pain and made my muscles fluid again...so maybe it will be the one for you. To tell you the truth though I get almost as much relief with 5mg of valium and it\'s a lot cheaper.
I love the visual imagery of the garlic necklace thing! I may try that next!
Nan
I think you should tell them you need to kill a cat under the full moon while dancing naked in your garlic necklace and see if the Parkinson\'s med then don\'t sound a bit more reasonable. Knowing some of the MDieties I\'ve seen, it won\'t.
Where do we find these doctors??? Give me a vet any day!!!
Heck, peeps, at least my vet checks my dogs teeth, ears, backside for worms, looks in the eyes (NO COUNSELOR IS PRESENT BECAUSE OF FEAR! LOL) and LISTENS to what my dog is/isn\'t doing. Then calmly explains my options, prescribes reasonable meds (heartworm prevention, shot for parvo) and all is well. Me, these drs think because I don\'t have M.D. after my name (which incidentally I\'ve deteremined really stands for Mostly Dunno!) that I haven\'t a clue as to what I am dealing with. Like telling a wheelchair patient, \"Oh well if you will just walk, you\'ll feel better. Uh-Huh.....God knows walking fixes everything. DUH.
Maybe just for the sheer orneriness of it I should wear garlic on a thread necklace, and with a TOTALLY STRAIGHT FACE, and some crystals in my hand tell her I read a book that says this will kill the organisms invading my body trying to take over. Heck, the most I could get is a trip to the nut house and at least I am sane enough at this point to ENJOY THE ARTS & CRAFTS! ROFLOL Seriously, someone actually wrote a book that to cure FM was to build a plastic pyramid in the back yard and some type of electrical stimulus to hook yourself to so you\'d kill the \"bacteria\" causing the FM. Yep, that sure sent me straight to the local hardware store. NOT. I figured save the hassle and just lick my finger and shove it in the light socket. Oh, that didn\'t fix it either. ROFLOL
