OK, son's gf is sick with virus and I am keeping Joshua to spare him exposure. I was originally going to watch him just for the day so my son and his dad could go have some male bonding time at the college football game. SOOOOOOO, right off the bat, Joshua shows me I am toooooooo old for this gig.

I had him in his car seat in front of the TV so he could watch the bright colored cartoons. He seemed so happy and content so I did a few things around the house and kept checking him. He was sitting cock-eyed in the car seat to I went to move him straight. W-R-O-N-G! HE WAS WET PLUS YOU KNOW WHAT TO THE HILT AND SO WAS THE CAR SEAT.
OK, so no problem right? W-R-O-N-G again! He was changed and cleaned easily enough, heck it ain't been that long and babies don't change models from year to year but CAR SEATS! OH MY GOSH!
I was on my head, had that sucker (car seat) flipped sideways, upside down, etc. trying to get the cover off to wash it. Joshua seemed to enjoy the show as he lay there smiling soooooo sweetly like "Yeah, Grammie, how's it goin'?" ROFLOL 
SOOOOOO, after removing one piece, the WRONG PIECE, 
I then had to struggle to put it back together but could not remember HOW THE HECK I GOT IT APART! 
OH GREAT. So all I can think in my panic is "great my son will show up and I've broken the car seat!" (Incidentally, if a grammie can destroy a car seat are they really safe for transporting babies?
LOL) So I get the piece back in and while praying (sorry but God must love to hear my hysterically odd prayers!) I find the piece to remove to unharness the thing to strip the cover and wash it. I WAS WORN OUT AND SINCE BABY WAS NAPPING I DID TOO! 
Sheez! Talk about aerobics! My brain was shot, my body was shot, and my last nerve was shot!
ANYWAY, all is well.... Joshua is clean, car seat is clean, and put back in proper order (yes I checked!) and I have survived the first few hours. HOWEVER, JOSHUA WILL NOT BE IN THAT CAR SEAT UNTIL HE LEAVES cause I do not feel up to another wrestling aerobic match with the car seat. It may win this time! ROFLOL

Isn\'t that new baby equipment confusing stuff? So high tech, you need a masters degree just to babysit anymore. My daughter in law thinks I\'m nuts most of the time, because the way we raised kids has to be wrong or they wouldn\'t make all these new gadgets! Thank Goodness rocking never seems to go out of style- at least my granbabies love it, and my old singing!

That will be me on saturday, i\'ll have my little Brooke for the night and it makes me so nervous because i know how tired i\'ll get but she is so beautiful!

NAN - Yes, I\'ve discovered I\'ve raised my kids \"all wrong\" per the experts. I gave them baby cereal too soon, solids too soon, just name it.
