OK, went yard saling with hubby and love it. Found a really old apron with strawberries on it. Strawberries a just such a cheerful fruit! I hate to eat them tho. GAG! I know, irony....lol I did my whole kitchen in them years ago with red checked gingham curtains that I made. VERY CHEERY CURTAINS. All hubby could say, and this is his words not mine, "THERE'S G.D. GRAPEFRUITS EVERYWHERE!" I laffed and said "No, they are strawberries" LOL LOL OK, I was young (20's) and thought it was totally cool against the white brick and it really popped!Hubby doesn't leave me alone to long as once he came home and I had begun ripping the walls down in the bathroom. Now, my bad, but the morons (before me!) had used liquid nail goop to attach this really ugly paneling half way up the wall and I thought it should come down so I could paint. MY BIG REAL BAD. Had to hire a freakin' contractor cause I tore up the sheet rock, had to remove the toilet, well, let your minds wonder......Think of the pretty blonde on GREEN ACRES. ROFLOL ROFLOL ROFLOL HOWEVER, here's my theory and paint it, memorize it, whatever, THERE ARE NO MISTAKES IN LIFE...ONLY LESSONS. So, I have learned to do minor plumbing, minor electrical, spackling (not including my make up on the face each AM), and laying lineoleum. I am one handy little chicky. HUGS AND LOVE TO ALL

I used to LOVE yard sales, i havent gone in forever! Almost time to go to dr.s office. I think meds are wearing off, i want to cry again, isnt that the most ridiculous thing! I don\'t know anymore if i\'m crying because i hurt or i\'m depressed because i just lay here?? don\'t tear walls down while i\'m gone! My husband does the same thing when i leave him alone for 3 days to visit my mom in calif. I get very afraid when i walk in the house and everything is changed around, i no longer have brick walls he has put some kind of board over them and made them smooth? talk to you later adelle
ADELLE -- I am sitting here as I type trying not to bawl hysterically. OK, so is it still the meds? Is it life? Is it trying to locate work? All of the above? Not sure.
I am \"planning\" unknown to hubby that I am planning to re-do the kitchen. I want to repaint the walls and do a faux treatment on the lower half. A friend of ours is giving me 17 sq ft of SOLID OAK FLOORING. Well, wanted to put it half way up the wall in the kitch alcove to the chair rail but not enough of the stuff to do it as I measured. HUBBY SIGHED (probably relief! ROFLOL) I think tho, how\'s this, that I use it to make a wall shelf all around the top of the wall you know about 12\" down from the ceiling to display my old antique dishware, etc? Now ain\'t that an idea? I mean the oak is already finished and tongue/groove so if one piece is not wide enough just add another piece and cut off the excess groove. WHAT DO YOU THINK? I would also imagine say a simple cloth ruffle to attach to the front of the shelf to match the curtains....I\'m going for the 40\'s 50\'s kind of effect. You know? Like country cozy. I want to find old dishes (have), old crock bowls (have) have a hand carved rolling pin (my great grandad made as a wedding gift for my great grams!), get the idea?
OK, so I also have to keep my eyes out for vintage type table cloths to use to make curtains & ruffle/edge for shelves?
Hugs...... I have this overwhelming urge to go with a shade of ORANGE as I have blue flecked counters, maple wood cabinets, and blue lineoleum. I HATE A DARK KITCHEN. I MEAN HATE! So can\'t you see a lovely orange shade? Isn\'t that soooo 40\'s/50\'s to go with the blue?
IDEAS PLEASE.
Feel better soon. Just ate my peanut butter and coke. Still feel like crying. Not working today.
Lol. Well your definately a busy body thats for sure. We (my hubby and me) had to tackle a plumbing problem not that long ago too. Our dishwasher died, so had a new one installed. I think the guy who installed our dishwasher tweeked our plumbing under the kitchen sink somehow and it started leaking. So we had to replace the facet on our own. I guess I fit under the counter better than hubby, so I had to do my share of handy work too. I hope your not to sore after the incident, because I know I was out of it for a few days afterward. Take care. ((HUGS)) Teresa
I like your ideas for your kitchen. As I said before you are such a busy body. How do you keep yourself running? Sorry you feel like crying, must mean pain is settling in. I know I\'m a little achy today, but I will feel worse tomorrow, because I\'ve been typing away all afternoon.
I love to eat strawberries! I think it may be a genetic defect if you don\'t like them! hahaha. Now when you say orange are you meaning like peach or orange like the fruit? Orange actually was very 70\'s. How about Yellow??
Nan
TSK --- I keep running because I am hyper. When I was born there were complications and I was either to be MI or hyper. Well, son was very little at the time and was asking how grandma could be my mom if she were his grandma. So I was explaining. ANYWAY, came to the part about me being either MR or hyper. He dead eyed me and said \"Well, which are you?\" I lost it! ROFLOL I said \"I am hyper.\" He again dead eyed me and said \"Are you sure?\" ROFLOL ROFLOL ROFLOL I love that kid. And if you are wondering as well YES I AM SURE I AM HYPER! ROFLOL
Now KEEPINGON I can\'t stand the thought of eating seeds. I wash them out of my tomatoes. My mom saw me doing that one day and asked what I was doing and I explained washing the seeds out of the tomatos. She shook her head and said YOU KNOW they have psychiatrist for that. ROFLOL
Orange more like sherbert organe as the 40\'s 50\'s bring to mind black, aqua, orange (sherbert) colors.
HUGS...& love from the washing tomato gal who is HYPER
Well, I could FedX myself over to ya, and just hang ME up there on the shelf, but the postage....it went up ya know! Lets\' see...175 x 5\'6\" x 2 ft wide x well, I dunno. Don\'t think I would work like you wanted, but orange? My sunless tan lotion is sometimes...NEVER EVER get the DEEP lotion, when your white as a sheet. Not good. No. I would say ADHD is your sympton. Uh, Huh..I can understand....also very very PICKY....ME picky...It\'s called \"Out of control\" Over Compulsive Disorder....OCD???? ME.....Well, I\'m ready to go home here. 1 & 1/2 hrs more....dragging my rear...want to cry too.....is there something in the wind????
Love & hugs,
Kristi
KRISTI ---- The winds are blowing.....I want to cry then scream then be joy filled then, oh heck, just call me multi-personality. ROFLOL I don\'t know...I think just too freakin\' much in too little time! At least that\'s what I blame it on as the side effects seem to be easing on the MIRAPEX. I just am dreading school being out with 17yr old daughter who is either possessed, multi-personality or maybe ROSEMARY\'s BABY??? Only God knows.....Love & hugs.
Bubba and Ray (Louisiana mechanical engineers) were standing at the base of
a flagpole, looking up.
A blonde woman walked by and asked what they were doing.
We\'re supposed to find the height of the flagpole,\" said Bubba, \"but we
don\'t have a ladder.\"
The blonde took a wrench from her purse, loosened a few bolts, and laid the
pole down. Then she took a tape measure from her pocket, took a measurement,
announced, \"Eighteen feet, six inches,\" and walked away.
Ray shook his head and laughed. \"Ain\'t that just like a blonde! We ask for
the height and she gives us the length!\"
Bubba and Ray are currently doing government work supervising the
reconstruction of those New Orleans Levees.
ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE!
Why are you crying, Mom?
\"Why are you crying?\" he asked his Mom. \"Because I\'m a woman\" she told him. \"I don\'t understand,\" he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, \"And you never will\"..........
Later the little boy asked his father, \"Why does mother seem to cry for no reason? \"All women cry for no reason\" was all his dad could say........
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry...
Finally he put in a call to GOD; when GOD got on the phone the man said, \"GOD, why do women cry so easily?\"
and GOD said.......
When I made woman, she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the World; yet, gentle enough to give comfort....
I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children...
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining......
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly...
This same sensitivity helps her to make a child\'s boo-boo feel better and shares in their teenagers anxieties and fears.......
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.....
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but, sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.....
I gave her tears to shed. They are hers to use whenever she needs them. They are her secret strength. They make her >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
more like ME.....
THANKS DONE IT ALL --- I was crying when I read it as it is toooo true. LOL Ain\'t that just like a woman. LOL
