Five in the morning.
Feeling very good today, as I have most days since getting on a a pain management program a little over a week ago.  What can I say? I had an appointment with the program.  I saw the doctor, she was very thorough.  I had to fill out a survey to see if I was a risk for narcotics abuse (apparently I am not) and I had to sign a contract which was very specific about the fact that I had to use only one doctor for pain medicine and only one pharmacy, and that I would be drug tested, not only for illicit drugs, but also for the pain medications I was using.  They also checked me at my first visit to make sure I was taking my bipolar meds.  That WAS a surprise, but not a problem.  I am very compliant.  I will do whatever they want, just help me with the pain.  They are going to give me a TENS unit too.  It is apparently a little electric device that confuses the nerves so the pain signals don't get through.  I will be getting that next week when I go back.
We have a cleaning lady pair now, and we love them.  Mom and I split the cost.  I am so glad to have the house all spic-and span every week, all neat, it makes it so easy to keep it up, it makes me more motivated to keep on top of it and get my spring cleaning stuff done. Remember I am still doing my spring cleaning until June 21st?  Well now that I don't hurt anymore I can kick into high gear.  YEAY!
I have done a few things, like reorganize the linens, change the furnace filters, little stuff.  I have a couple biggies like put together the kitchen-annex storage cabinet that is in the garage.  That is where the kitchen overflow goes. I have a six foot cabinet for that.  I have to put it together.  I love to put things together.
I rewarded myself last month for doing so well lately. I bought two lamps, a new chair for my room, a kindle for Ma, Mom's Mother's day gifts, and various and sundry assorted things. Then I got the bill. It was a little more than I thought, but I will manage.
I am still very very slowly losing weight.  I am stuck at 174, where I have been for three weeks.  I need to step up and walk more (which I can now do).  I gave up white food (flours, sugar, rice, pasta, oatmeal and potatoes).  Except when I get challah I will have one serving of that a day.  and I still eat raisin bran (technically it's brown and also whole grain). It's time to now start formally exercising.  I have videos, we have a treadmill, I have a bicycle, and I swim.  Of these option, I think the bike and the videos are the best options.  Maybe the treadmill.  I need to do something.  I don't want to stay at 174.  I want to go down, to hopefully 146.
Family is fine.  We all have good days and bad days, but all in all life isn't half bad.  I write that with a smile on my face.
Now--goals--all are progressing except conversion and walking got stalled out by pain but is now resuming.  I will starting back up on conversion starting this week.

Nice to hear that you\'re getting some pain relief! Constant pain can make a person insane \'cause that\'s all you can think about. Am familiar with the TENS unit. Wish you luck with that. Glad you have energy and when you can keep with exercising, you\'ll see the weight start to drop. You\'re doing a marvelous job! And happy about the cleaning ladies, too. What a nice break for you. :-)
